9AM Empire Diner On 22ND.

Using my journal entries from New York, i've decided to start illustrating parts of them in various ways..

Just The Anchor...

Basically I want to create a nautical based image, using the anchor as the outline.
The outline will be used as the frame in which to make my design come together. This is just a rought sketch of the anchor I need to get right before I start making the inside.

The City That Never Sleeps.

This is just an initial sketch of another idea i'm currently working on...
based around my recent trip to New York.
Finished work to follow :)

Logo Work. [Work in Progress].

As part of our book proect, I thought it would be useful to develop some sort of logo I can use for my works.
Seeing as I was using 'ADGD : ALISON DOYLE GRAPHIC DESIGN' as my header for this page before I replaced it with the current banner, I thought I would work with that abbreviation and play with it.
These are just initial sketches to be furthered on illustrator and the like.

Good Day Gone Bad?

A so called productive day turned into a very lazy day, but at least I made these two little characters on illustrator.
Getting back into the hang of that pen tool malarky! :)

CMYK.

As part of the book brief, we are supposed to make some form of statement, relating to anything we think of.
As you can see, I was considering the idea of CMYK, and how they don't really work unless they're all together.
Hence this piece of work...

Typography Experiment.

using the hairspray technique from a previous post, I have decided to try it out using the 'main places' from my visit to New York.
These are manipulated versions that may possibly used in future pieces.
